Systems Engineer - CCIE*CCNP*CCDP - Trading Applications - London to £55k
A Network and security design engineer to work with other System Engineers with designing solutions for application services. The candidate will be CCIE or CCNP and CCDP accredited engineer or equivalent. Design, implementation and configuration of OSPF, BGP, PIM-DM, PIM-SM, IGMP, VLAN, VLSM. A strong commercial awareness of the technologies and strategies within the networking industry. A strong customer facing background including liaising with third party vendors. Design, implementation and configuration using Cisco Routers and Switches, Juniper Routers and Netscreen Firewalls and in-depth understanding and experience of TCP*IP and IP networks and multicast. Ideally worked in the financial industry with experience or knowledge of financial exchange and electronic trading.The role of the System Engineer is to capture the system functional and performance requirements for the infrastructure services and application products and services offered by our client in the electronic Trading market. He*she will produce the system specifications (covering functionality, performance and fit for purpose requirements) from which products and services will be developed. Also, he*she will liaise with customers for the capture of requirements, provide high-level consultancy services to customers, and work closely with the sales force to support customer presentations and on new business proposal production.
